Shaddy Boy- In Full Force

Shaddy Boy… is simply the one that doesn’t sleep. Who can blame him? His hustle has no time for it. He craves success like a fat kid… (yes everyone knows the end). Okay, the saying is overused and overdone but it stands true for this young Bahamian rapper-entrepreneur extraordinaire. Ever since he was a little boy, music was an essential part of his makeup. He spent a lot of time with his cousin who was a DJ and as fate would have it, Shaddy came across the late great Biggie’s first LP “Ready To Die” and became forever intertwined in the creativity and workings of Hip Hop music. At first, it started off simply as a hopeless dream. However, what was seen to be unreachable became suddenly in arms reach as Shaddy realised that one of his own, D-Bo (a Bahamian rapper) was signed to Slip N Slide Records in 2005.
This realisation got Shaddy itching to put pen to paper and create good music. During his years in high school at Saint Augustine’s College, he teamed up with other rapper-hopefuls and formed a rap group (now defunct… to my knowledge) called AllStarz. This group had a series of hits on the high school level. He has since moved on and after establishing himself as a solo artist, he joined forces with rappers like himself and formed B.A.S.S. For Shaddy, B.A.S.S. is the machine that he would like to see all members achieve success in whatever they wish to venture into.

When it comes to Shaddy’s artistry, it’s all about being classified as one of the “elite”. And to be classified as such, Shaddy understands well that ‘half-steppin’ is NOT an option. A self-proclaimed perfectionist, he admits to throwing away months of work simply because he believed that it wasn’t up to his standards. With that said, don’t think for a minute that Shaddy isn’t productive. He’s currently putting the finishing touches on his new mixtape entitled, “All Jokes Aside”. The amount of preparation that has gone into this body of work is one that should be applauded. He is eager to get it released so that his fans can once again reconnect with him on a musical level and also, every step he makes is one step closer to being considered as one of the greatest MC’s to walk this eath. Shaddy is coming in full force with an immaculate swagger. Time will tell if the world is prepared. Are you?
